After who knows how long of asking for her own room, we finally seperated the kids rooms.... :)
Jb and i had decided the night before it would be my day off project. I mentioned it to Dax and he outbursted with
NO! I want to sleep with Abby!!
But the thing is, he doesnt let her sleep. He has so much energy that seems to multiply when the lights go out. I thought moving the bookcase between them would create a boundry, but then it was just a fun obsticle :) With BOTH being in school, they need to get their sleep. So I picked up both rooms when they were at school and started moving a couple things around in the spare room. When the kids got home they went in the spare room and when I walked in there, Dax says "Can I have my bed in here?" Why Yes!! Yes you can! Let's do it right now!!
Quite a few times he had a breakdown...He was tired and it had been a long day at school with a trip to the principals office (which i didnt know happend until the next day!) and at one point kinda realized he was being kicked out...he hung his head crying, slowly walked down the hall to abbys room, wrapped his arms around her and said "I just want my sissy" :( oh sweet boy
Bedtime came and I read with each one in their rooms and tucked them in. They were both restless and commented on how it was weird a)sleeping in a new room, and b)sleeping in a different room. As much as Abb campaigned for her own room...once she had it, she realized how much she missed him :)
She woke up the next morning, made her bed, went into Daxs room and woke him up, and they both came into my room smiling with arms wrapped around eachother. Distance makes the heart grown fonder?? lol
