Splash it up

New splash pad opened up at a park 2 miles from us over Memorial day weekend. It was suppose to open last summer but it wasn't done in time, so the kids were wicked excited to see what it was all about.

 

 

There is plenty of room for alllllllll the people. Of course opening weekend is gonna be crazy... and it was a holiday. So there were people everywhere. It wasn't scorching hot, and the main weather condition here is WIND... so the little mist that came off all the water splashing about wasn't the most pleasant. We stayed long enough to get our $3 worth and headed to the playground near by :) was just nice to be off and hanging with the kiddos



7 is a lucky number!

Man was this kid ever excited :)
4:57am wake up call from him.... "Mom.." whispering in my face..
"mom can we go open my presents????!!!!!!"
oh balls. Should have just gotten up for the 4 minutes it took him to tear thru them lol

His adorable smile and genuine excitement at every gift made it easier to handle :)

I had taken the day off, and he was SUPER excited to have me hang in the class with him for the day.
He got a sticker on his shirt saying "it's my birthday" and they sang to him at snack time and then we handed out the brownies and cookies he wanted to bring to his class.
He chose me to be his helper :)
He is in a large class and we got done passing them all out and were short one to give to the teacher.
I suggested he give her the one he set on his desk and he promptly went over and gave it to her :)

He wanted to show me every thing on the playground...
like I hadn't been coming here for 3 1/2 years now :)

Went to g-pa and g-ma's after dinner where he was spoiled even more!
New helmet and scooter!

Had some cake and called it a night :)

Wordless Wednesday

Happy Mothers Day :)

Got to spend the day with these great kiddos :) woke up to breakfast in bed (raisin bran crunch ;) ) and cards and gifts made at school and activity days :) went and visited grandma and planted flowers in the front yard and the garden in the back. Snuggled watching a movie before bedtime to end out the day :) thanks for making me a momma my babies...I love you

 

My baby is 9!!

Would have thought it was Christmas morning the way Dax was wide awake at SIX am :) so excited for his sister to open her presents! He made it to 6:40 before she "woke up on her own" lol

Presents were done and opened by 7:05 haha

Thanks to Pintrest... ;) ...she requested our new fav treat for breakfast,

 pop cinnamon rolls made in the waffle maker!

And our ritual headband...nine years and counting :):):)



The BIG present.... a new bed!!! Found last minute yesterday afternoon! Been looking for 2 years lol

Along with a present for all of us to share :)

Chilling at the desk of her new bed, wearing a bday shirt and bday hairtie, bday headphones attached to her tablet in a bday tablet holder, building bday lego friends :)

A couple friends and aunt came over for some cake to end the day :)

Was a great day spent with my Birthday Baby... just remembered we forgot to measure height! Balls.

Too much to do all in one day ;) I already know tho...she's TALL :)

Run or Dye!! 2014

Snagged a groupon a few months ago and signed Abb and I up for her first 5k! Our friends signed up and we all went together :):)

Everyone had a blast!!! We walked most of it ;) but one for the memory bank! Great way to spend her last day being 8!!!

 

Lunch with my Birthday Girl!

Her birthday is over the weekend and she wanted to take cookies to her class today. I told her I would bring them after lunch since that's when they normally get passed out. I got there with my sack lunch right as she was sitting down at her table. The seat across from her was open so I slid in. Her face of surprise was classic! She was so happy to see me :) well worth taking the day off for. I love you my sugarbeat!

 

 

Bring Your Kids to Work Day!

I was super impressed with how well they did!! I had lots of stuff to get out onto the sales floor and they were eager to help. Of course we had fun like sticking Dax in a tall Libman mop box, and wrapping him up in shrinkwrap :) Throwing playballs into the tower, and Abby liked using the order gun. Lunch was with Dad at Wendys and Abby finished the work day with me and even got to come to my ballet class and watch. Love my kiddos!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Pretty low key this year. Abb took rice crispy treats to her class and was happy when she only brought home 4 :) Neither of the kids wanted to make valentines to exchange this year so we went with store bought :/ oh well haha. Jb was out at the track so when I got home the kids and I went and snagged a couple pizzas and I surprised the kids with s'mores stuff!

 

Got a little metal chimneia this summer.

Haven't used it too many times, but the kids love when we do :)

Dance PARTY!!

So the kids school put on a Valentine themed fundraiser. It was a Daddy/daughter, Mother/son semi formal dance! There was a spag feed before hand but Abb didn't want to get her dress dirty so we skipped that part. I picked out a dress for her on my day off and *fingers crossed* that she would like it showed it to her just days before the dance...

She loved it!! We curled her hair and put a little makeup on her ;)

My date also got some new digs ;) Haaaaaaandsome boy!

 He loves wearing the vest and tie :)

A students dad dj's so it was a legit sound system and set up.

Dax helped himself, and gave me some all cute like

and told to me to make sure I got them in a "base".

So I took them to work :) put a smile on my face

We danced and danced :) It was a great night and one I won't be forgetting anytime soon
