Balls...continued...

lol....so I guess we are NOT going back tonight. I got the hint. Left town and had to turn around at Jordan Valley due to a fire south of Burns Junction that was jumping the highway. Got back to Boise thinking that I could re-route thru Twin and down...but then the freeway was closed at Mountain Home due a ...FIRE. Ok, ok, ok. Spending the night and checking the road conditions this time before we leave wicked early in the morning.

I feel like I've gained 10 pounds and broken out on my face...I'm trying to be opptimistic and not dwell on the bad things...but there has been an undenyable amount of crappy things happen on this trip :) 

I can't control the circumstances...I can only control my attitude towards them. Tomorrow is another day ;)

Sunday...

Sunday started early with sacrament meeting with mom and mike at 8:30am where we got to raise out hand in favor of mom accepting a calling in the nursery. Then we met up with dad at The Griddle for breakfast where Dax went thru 4 cups of chocolalte milk :) it was nice to have a little more time with him. Then I dropped off my phone and Sprint and the kids and I went and visited Mary at her house in Nampa. Not toooo much WinCo talk, but some :) Cam eback to Boise and picked up my fixed phone and Betsy and Emily came for dinner...and julie and the sassers stopped by for dessert. It cooled off and everyone had gone and we laid a blanket out front and ate ice cream and watched clouds...

Finished the night by falling asleep on the living room floor watching Pete's Dragon :)



Balls

Had a melt down today... I broke the air conditioner in my car the other day when I was trying to fix it.  My car started smoking this afternoon when I was trying to use just the fan and not the a/c...so I had to pull over. Called Jb who is 412 miles away...

The kids have been pretty good, but I've been struggling with their manners and lack of listening...and we are out of our routine and in a place they kind of remember, visiting people they havn't seen for a year, and having access to me 24/7. Not our usual jig...

And after accidentally soaking my phone in water and trying to fix it by putting it on the dashboard and actually COOKING it to the point of it not working, now it won't turn on and I feel completely disconnected. I went to dinner with friends here and couldn't even call my mom because I don't know her cell number lol...

One of THOSE melt down days.

So if I could turn it on and upload pics...I'd be posting about a hike we took with Dad at Camels Back park...how Dax whined the whole time and cried at the top because he was so hot and tired and apparently afraid of heights. Then we played at the park and Abb was so sweaty. How we went swimming again at Julie's golf pool and Dax stepped off the step and the lifeguard had to jump in and got to him right before I did. How Abb and I did some color by number pages while Dax fell asleep on the couch while playing with rockstar elmo. How I got to go to dinner with Mindy, and Tara and Ric (who got engaged on Wednesday) and how Dax couldn't leave Abb alone at bedtime so he is trying to convince me to let him sleep on the bed with me :)...

Going to Sprint tomorrow at noon to get it fixed...or replaced...hope my pics transfer over......

Magic milk!!

We left Julie's and pulled into Mom's to this... :) the sky seems so much bigger here...

Mom had done a fun project at her school that she showed the kids :) Whole milk, drops of food coloring, and a "magic wand" (q-tip with dish soap)

Mom got a smiley face!! fun times :)

One of our favorite parks in Meridian is Settlers park. The splash pad, the play equipment, and the huge musical instruments. We tried to hook up with the Sassers, (hope you are feeling better!!!) so instead the kids and I snagged Myla :)

Dax is pretty great about making new friends lol ("hey bro! let's go over here!") so it was great the Abb and Myla pal'd around. Abby's fav was these buckets that poured water

We went over to the slides and had our turn on the tire swing. I think that was Myla's fav :) she just kept looking from Abb to Dax laughing and smiling...cutie!

We stopped for Happy Meals and swapped Myla out for Mom and went to Fancy Freeze!!!!

Christmas Morning!!

Well you'd thought it was when the kids woke up at 6:30am Reno time after not going to bed until midnight lol. Toooo excited to be at grandma and papa's! We all got up and got ready, then Abb helped grandma make up cookie dough...

while Dax was in heaven with the toys :) made himself a little cage and played until I said it was time to go to the....

Julie and her fam called from their golf clubhouse this evening while Bets and her kids were over and invited us to come there and swim :) Loved it!! The shallow area with the fountains...wicked awesome :) great way to wind down the day

My favorite library!!! Or should I say Library! ;) In 1995 the library changed their sign on the outside, and the local business owner of Flying Pie Pizza purchased and donated 2 exclaimation points and had them installed cus he was such a fan of the library :) It's my favorite branch...I know why he loves it

Happy 4th of July!!

My morning was the nicest thing...work zipped by...grabbed the kids from jb and we were off!...mary poppins bag and all ;)...kids were WICKED AWESOME! We listened to kids bop 5...then a book on tape...then some coloring books and a mile count down to Boise! Made it in record time! 9:40pm and in time to see the fireworks ;) perfect! Made it to moms for long overdue hugs and kisses... and a couple sparklers ;) Her house is so freaking cute!!!

It feels so good to be here...to see the fields of crops...smell the mint...be so familiar with a place.....
