#7 - Abb talking to the birds

Grandma and grandpa have some mexican gray?? birds that talk. they also imitate noises. and early in the morning too. so one of the most squawked sayings is "good boy".
it was one of the first nights being at the house. i asked abb to go get a couple books from the room...so she ran down the hall, paused, and then sneaked a couple steps into the room at the end of the hall where the birds are. which she usually shys away from the birds....

Abb: hi, i'm abby. i live here now (in a cute high voice)
bird: good boy
Abb: yea, good boy

she then spied me and ran into her room. i thought it was super cute of her to introduce herself ;)

Totally JUST remembered i get to be the parent volunteer in Abby's class tomorrow!! woot woot!

tonight

taking the kids to see the Nickelodeon Live show tonight at the Pioneer Center downtown! jb hear about it on the radio. i'm wicked excited about it!!

Last night...Day 7/8 deli & frozen grocery freight. brrrrrrr. just got abb off to school. laying down for a nap :)

First day of school! first day of school!

anyone else having 'Finding Nemo' flaskbacks? lol so....here it is! First day of school at Peavine Elementary in Reno, NV. My Abber Doo....oh sugar beat....we braided her hair after bath the night before so it would be wavy, just like she wanted :)

20 boys and 10 girls in her class...she is about to sit by Brooklyn and Summer...her little girlfriends :)

All morning we had been calling Abb 'Kindergarten girl'...."ok kindergarten girl, go brush your teeth" "where is your backpack kindergarten girl?" ect. Her room is pretty fun, so when it was time to leave the classroom, Dax yells out, "I want be Kindergarten BOY!!"

We drove around for a bit, and Dax fell asleep. He woke up and the first thing he said was "My Abby...where my Abby?" We got to the school and he wanted to just charge in the room "MY ABBY!! I SEE MY ABBY!!"

The move is on...

So, we are packing up and heading to......

Any ideas....???? haha i picked that picture and then realized that I wouldn't know what town it is haha maybe if I knew hotels and mountain ranges. So the other widely photographed landmark is this...

Totally gave it away. So, yea. We are heading there this weekend after some help on saturday from the ward and fam and friends. I got a transfer to the south Reno store, but not until Sept 17th or 18th, so I will make one or 2 trips on my days off so I can be there for Abby's FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!!!! Holy crap.... and such.

A few trips ago to Reno, either Grandma or Aunt Rusty bought Abb a pac of tic tacs. every checkout line she reminds me. "mom, those are the things [enter person] bought me! can we get some?!" We bought some the other day, and they have lasted a long time....that meaning they werent gone in an hour haha. So on the car ride home from swimming at moms, abb was sharing them with bubba. "careful bud, dont bite it! just suck on the candy." that's a good big sis :) so we get home and abb has shared a couple with him and he decides to share with me!

D: here you go mama! [hands me the tic tac]
Me: thanks bubba!
D: Suck it!

swing time

Abby's love language as of recently, or i recently realized, is quality time. So when i got home from work today, she wanted me to push her on the swing. I was pushing and doing the "twisty whisty" and we were chatting.
Ab: do kids have kids?
Me: no, you should be older
Ab: so baby brothers grow up to be dads?
Me: yes, that's right
Ab: and girls grow up to be moms?
Me: yeppers
Ab: can i grow up and have kids?
Me: yes, if you would like to sugarbeat
Ab: yea, i think i will. because then i can be a mom, and then i'll be just like you!
